Our Story
We bought The Wayfarer and moved here to Torquay in 2019, looking for a change of pace and a fresh start by the sea.
Since then we have worked very hard to make the Wayfarer a welcoming place for all. All year through we very much look forward to welcoming new and returning guests and do our best to ensure you have a wonderful stay with us.
The Wayfarer is superbly situated here in beautiful Torquay, in the county town of Devon and at the heart of the English Riviera.
The gentle climate, stunning views, delightful parks and gardens make Torquay a place where all the family can relax. There is a vast array of attractions and events which will keep you entertained. Torquay is the perfect base to discover the rest of Devon from moor to sea.
So, for those looking for a little escape on their holidays or those working away from home in or around Torbay, our guest house is the perfect choice.
Torbay drew us in with its beautiful views and busy atmosphere and we think it will win you over too. The fresh air is revitalising, and our way of life has changed forever. Now we want to share a bit of that with you!

If you would wish to cancel your booking, we have a cancellation policy in place. If you would like to view this, please see out terms & conditions.
Unfortunately, we do not have the facilities to house dogs in our property, and cannot have them stay with us.
We do not have any ground floor rooms available, all rooms are accessed by stairs.
Though we cannot guarantee parking on our property, guests with a blue badge can park on the road all day in the temporary bays along Belgrave Road. Please feel free to contact us to request more information on this.
We have two parking spaces at the rear of our property, which we operate on a ‘first come, first served’ basis. Unfortunately, we will not reserve spaces for specific guests. However, on street parking in available on a number of local roads, and we would be happy to assist you in finding a space on arrival.
